Simulation Center

Here at Crozer Chester Emergency Medicine residency program, our simulation lab is a big part of our education. Detailed simulated emergency medicine cases are explored and led by Dr. Ilana Baltuch, one of our Emegency Medicine physicians. Here we go over important cases and concepts in a controlled learning environment, so we will be better prepared for these scenarios in real life. In addition, during the second year of our Emergency Medicine residency, we have 4 weeks of a medical education block. During this time, we are actively involved in the simulation center, where we create our own simulation project and equipment, teach medical students and residents, and run our own simulation scenarios. There is even ongoing research and publications being produced from the SIM division. We participate in annual Fast Track Procedure Day, Critical Care Procedure Day, Airway Day and Central Venous Catheter training day. In addition, we even had a Simulation Escape Day where we had no less than 3 Simulation Escape Rooms that the residents had to navigate out of!
