The new Crozer pre-hospital post-intubation sedation protocol was created and is submitted for approval by our new EMS director Dr. Jay Longenbach.

What do you do as an EMS crew, if you just intubated a patient, using conventional pre-hospital intubation meds, but the patient wakes up en route and tries to pull a tube out? Before you had no other options but to give Fentanyl or Versed.

Our new EMS director Dr. Jay Longenbach added Ketamine to the existing list of intubation meds, which gives additional option to EMS crew to manage such patients.
