As part of Ob/Gyn module, today we had a workshop on obstetric emergencies, led by Deborah Davis-Gayley, clinical educator from Labor and Delivery/Maternity department. Residents and medical students got to practice various baby-and mother-saving maneuvers that are used during shoulder dystocia, breech presentations, etc. Also participants got to review and refresh their skills on figuring out cervical dilation/station/presenting part on specialist trainers. Everybody had fun and felt better at handling unexpected deliveries in ED.
